1) Good processing performance
Wood-plastic composites contain plastics and fibers, so they have the same processing properties as wood. They can be sawed, nailed, and planed. They can be finished with woodworking tools, and the nail holding power is obviously superior to other synthetic materials. Mechanical properties are superior to wood materials. The nail holding power is generally three times that of wood and five times that of particle board.
2) Good strength performance
Wood-plastic composites contain plastic and thus have a good modulus of elasticity. In addition, due to the inclusion of fibers and thorough mixing with plastics, it has physical and mechanical properties such as compression resistance and bending resistance comparable to hardwood, and its durability is significantly superior to ordinary wood materials. The surface hardness is high, generally 2 to 5 times that of wood.
3) It has water and corrosion resistance and long service life
Compared with wood, wood-plastic materials and their products are resistant to strong acid and alkali, water and corrosion, and do not breed bacteria, and are not susceptible to insects or fungi. Long service life, up to 50 years.
4) Excellent adjustability
Through additives, plastics can undergo polymerization, foaming, solidification, modification and other changes, thereby changing the density, strength and other characteristics of wood-plastic materials, and can also meet special requirements such as anti-aging, anti-static, and flame retardant.
5) It has excellent UV light stability and good colorability.
6) Its biggest advantage is to turn waste into treasure and 100% recycling. It can be decomposed, does not cause "white pollution", and is a truly green product.
7) Wide range of raw materials
The plastic raw materials for the production of wood-plastic composites are mainly high-density polyethylene or polypropylene. The wood fibers can be wood flour, gluten or wood fiber, and a small amount of additives and other processing aids are required.
